Today, our major problem is waste management and food waste is the main cause of it. While many people are still suffering from starvation, food surplus and food waste are still a concern of waste management.
We’ve got a chance to know and work with SOS for more than two years. We do appreciate their intention to work for others to transform food surplus into quality meals to various communities. We believe that, with this commitment from everyone, we can expand the program and make it even more valuable.
Therefore, we provide our support in creating a new working platform, 'Cloud Food Bank.' We believe that this initiative will serve as an effective tool that can support SOS's operation and enhance the ability to expand the service throughout the country. In addition, we could gain more collaborations from other parties, and to be able to sustainably reduce the food waste issue.

SOS Thailand is one of MK Group’s main partners in surplus food management who contributes value to society by providing meals to communities through rescuing food items, such as vegetables that were trimmed off but remained good quality, to be passed on as high-fiber ingredients to recipients. We see SOS Thailand’s mission and its commitment to operate in a systematic approach, with ease of speed, coordination, technology utilization, and tracking. Marriott International is proud to work with the Scholars of Sustenance Foundation (SOS Thailand), which provides an invaluable service to underprivileged people in Thailand and plays a key role in our commitment to creating zero food waste. As the first food rescue foundation in Thailand, SOS Thailand takes the surplus food from our restaurants and redistributes it to disadvantaged people in Bangkok, Phuket, Hua Hin, Chiang Mai and other locations every day. This became even more important during then global pandemic, when even more people were plunged into poverty.
